"All history demonstrates
that the human race has advanced
on the shoulders of those who have seen beyond the lean horizon of their years." |

Phantom Poets opened its 2005 Centennial Tour
of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon Feb. 16 - 19 at the McClure United Church.
Easter weeken, March 26 & 27, 2005 Phantom Poets appears at the
McPherson Playhouse in Victoria, B.C. for the British Columbia premiere

During the years of research
and script development one of the constant questions was, “We
know – who, what, how and why, but what about WHERE
and WHEN.”
The answer became quite transparent in 2003 as October 20, 2004 marked the anniversary of Tommy Douglas’s 100th birthday and the obvious recognition of Weyburn, Saskatchewan as the site of his fiery baptism in politics and the bow from which the arrows of his humanitarian desires were first shot. Even those who do not share Mr. Douglas’s philosophies of life have embraced, with veneration, his memory and the generosity of his spirit. Citizens of Weyburn and Nanaimo (on Vancouver Island) where he toiled as M. P. during his final 10 years of service in Canada’s parliament have supported this World Premiere in substantial ways and more follow. |
The Centennial Tour
Following the World Premiere, Phantom Poets, attended the showcase presented by the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils in Yorkton, Saskatchewan from October 28th to 30th, 2004. So far 11 Saskatchewan communities have booked the production with Kevin Korchinski, through the OSAC office in Regina. The National Tour Phantom Poets is already accepting bookings for the production in 2006 in British Columbia and will be working out dates in other provinces for future presentations. We were in Edmonton from November 5th to 8th, 2004 at the CAPACOA showcase conference to provide information and take bookings anywhere in Canada. |

"A leading political figure said
to me, 'unfortunately you are 25 years
ahead of your time.' My reply was, 'the real tragedy for me would be if I were 25 years behind my time." Tommy Douglas |
